Allmän kurs fokus är för dig som saknar betyg från gymnasiet. Här finns en struktur och förutsägbarhet som hjälper dig att fokusera på dina studier.
Samma klassrum, samma tider, samma resursperson och samma klasskamrater. Allt för att du ska få möjlighet att koncentrera dig, och fokusera på dina studier.
När du väljer att studera Allmän kurs fokus får du ett eget hemklassrum där du alltid börjar dagen på samma sätt, tillsammans med din klass. Schemat är förutsägbart och klassen läser sina lektioner gemensamt. Klassrummet är anpassat för att erbjuda olika typer av arbetsplatser. Det finns också en resursperson som hjälper dig att planera och genomföra dina studier.
Det finns möjlighet att bo på skolan för den som vill, och i boendet ingår frukost och lunch alla dagar som det bedrivs undervisning. På skolan finns kurator och skolpräst för dig som behöver prata med någon.
Mål med utbildningen
Att du som studerar uppnår behörighet för att studera vidare på yrkeshögskola.
Efter utbildningen
Efter utbildningen kan du läsa vidare på yrkeshögskola. Eller läsa ett tredje år på Allmän kurs för att få behörighet till högskola.
Studerande på Allmän kurs betalar en basavgift på 3995 kr per år. I basavgiften ingår bland annat olycksfallsförsäkring, viss kopiering, dryck till förmiddagsfikat, del av kostnader i samband med olika arrangemang på skolan samt vissa studiebesök. Undervisningen i sig är kostnadsfri.
Prisjusteringar görs inför varje nytt läsår. Full årsavgift tas ut även vid studieavbrott. Om särskilda skäl finns kan avgiften justeras, detta sker då i samråd med ansvarig linjeföreståndare. Kostnader för litteratur tillkommer.

Heltidsstuderande har förtur framför de som vill läsa enstaka kurser.

Antagningsbesked
Det slutliga antagningsbeskedet skickas ut via epost den 24 maj. Du har sju dagar på dig att svara på beskedet. Om du inte har möjlighet att lämna besked inom sju dagar ber vi dig höra av dig, så för vi en dialog kring detta.
Sen ansökan
Efter sista ansökningsdag finns det möjlighet att göra en sen ansökan, förutsatt att det finns lediga platser på utbildningen.
Nej, folkhögskolan ger inga betyg i enskilda ämnen utan har ett eget bedömningssystem. Du som studerar på Allmän kurs kan få ett studieomdöme som är en sammanfattande bedömning av studieförmågan. Detta grundar sig på en gemensam bedömning som görs av alla dina lärare.
Du kan också få ett behörighetsintyg där folkhögskolan intygar att du har uppnått en viss behörighet i ett ämne.
Hur länge du studerar på Allmän kurs beror på dina förkunskaper och vad du har för målsättning med dina studier. Vanligtvis sker studierna under ett, två eller tre år.
